An El Cajon man was reappointed by Gov. Jerry Brown Friday to the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners, which conducts licensing, education and enforcement duties for chiropractic care.

Frank Ruffino, 53, has served on the board for five years. He has been the general services administrator at the Veterans Home of California in Chula Vista since 2013. He previously served in management positions at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility, the state Department of Fish and Game and California Department of Veterans Affairs.

Ruffino — who doesn’t state his party preference — will not need Senate confirmation. Compensation for his position is $100 a day.
