On Friday, June 9, United Way of San Diego County and Deloitte volunteers will be involved in creating their own version of “Extreme Makeover: School Edition” at Cajon Park School in Santee as part of the 18th Annual Deloitte Day of Impact.
From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. volunteers will transform several areas of the K-8 school located at 10300 Magnolia Avenue, Santee, including the garden, library reading center, teacher’s lounge and junior high lounge.
There will be 45 volunteers on-site, with 200 other volunteers throughout the county. The 18th Annual Deloitte Day of Impact is celebrated by Deloitte employees across the globe.
Volunteers, including Santee Vice Mayor Ron Hall, Santee School District Superintendent Kristin Baranski, along with United Way of San Diego County and Deloitte executives, will be planting flowers, building new furniture, painting walls and decorating spaces, among many activities.
