A man undergoing a transition to female slashed a man with a knife Thursday when the two got into an argument in San Diego’s Balboa Park, police said.
The suspect pulled a knife during the argument and cut the 42-year-old victim above his left ear and on his left ring finger, which was also broken, according to San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Heims said.
It’s unclear what the two were arguing about.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, 5 feet 5 inches tall with black hair, wearing an orange T-shirt under a yellow T-shirt and green pants.
Detectives from the San Diego Police Department’s Central Division were investigating the attack.
