San Diego Police arrested a suspect after a 26-year-old man was fatally stabbed Saturday in the Teralta West neighborhood.
It happened at about 2:55 a.m. in the early morning of the 4000 block of 42nd Street, when police were called to investigate the scene of an assault with a deadly weapon, said SDPD officers.
They arrived to find the victim bleeding in the courtyard of the apartment building. He appeared to have been stabbed in the chest, according to the SDPD. The victim was identified as San Diego resident, Juan Young Jr, and died shortly after at a nearby hospital.
Police arrested a suspect when a man later returned to the scene of the killing at about 4:20 a.m. The 22-year-old suspect, identified as Cesar Guerrero of San Diego, was booked into the San Diego County Jail on murder charges.
