Two men killed in separate crashes in Bonsall and Encinitas early Saturday were publicly identified Tuesday.
Richard Michael Rodriguez, 60, was riding a 2012 Victory motorcycle along West Lilac Road near Via Giannelli in Bonsall shortly after midnight Saturday when a Ford Mustang drifted into his lane, according to the medical examiner’s office. The Bonsall resident died at the scene.
It was not immediately clear whether the Mustang’s driver was cited or arrested in connection with the crash.
Also killed early Saturday was Sergio Jimenez Solano, 27, of San Diego, who stopped his 1990 Acura Integra along northbound Interstate 5 near Leucadia after sustaining possible tire damage about 3:10 a.m.
Another vehicle rear-ended the Acura — its headlights were off — at freeway speeds. Witnesses stopped to help Solano before medics arrived, but he died at the scene.
