Are you one of the many people who made a resolution to be fit in 2017? If yes, try the Resolution Run this weekend.
San Diego’s Resolution Run is a 5K and 15K at beautiful Mission Bay. The race, which kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, encouages runners to burn calories while being kinder to Mother Nature.
The run benefits the San Diego Roots Sustainable Foot Project, a nonprofit devoted to supporting a healthier and better San Diego food system.
Registration costs range from $20 to $50. All runners will receive a “The time is NOW” finisher medal.

Relive the 90s with Warren G this Friday. The rapper known for his hits “Regulate” and “This DJ” will be in San Diego this weekend. The Grammy-nominated rapper and producer will perform at the Music Box in Little Italy at 7 p.m. Ticket prices range from $25 to $30.
Sunflowers in Imperial Beach
Looking to enjoy San Diego County’s great weather this weekend? Grab your scissors and head down to Suzie’s Farm to cut your own bouquet of sunflowers. You can also take a 90-minute tour through the fields to learn more about farming and foods.
It isn’t a weekend in San Diego County without a beer festival. The seventh annual San Diego Beer Fest takes place at Liberty Station this Saturday. The event is filled with beer, food trucks and live music. Tickets are $45 for general admission from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or $55 for VIP tickets from noon to 4 p.m.
Gulls vs. Rampage
The San Diego Gulls will take on the San Antonio Rampage this weekend. Cheer on the hometown team at Valley View Casino at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $19.
San Diego’s own soccer team will play the Ontario Fury on Sunday. The game, which kicks off at 5:05 p.m. at Valley View Casino, will also celebrate Pet Appreciation Night. Tickets start at $11.
