Hundreds of people lined Fifth Avenue on Saturday afternoon to cheer and record a half-hour parade of bloody dressers — the 8th annual Zombie Walk. The free event, held in conjunction with Comic-Con, attracted infants in strollers to the undead elderly.

Initial reports that a 64-year-old Zombie Walker was hospitalized in a hit-and-run incident were batted down by a walk organizer.

A little before 6 p.m., after the Zombie Walk ended, fans spotted English actor Orlando Bloom of the “Lord of the Rings” movie trilogy and other films on a balcony overlooking the plaza near the Convention Center trolley station.

Fans, including Zombie Walk participants, cheered every time he turned his face toward the throng. He shared the balcony with several others, and apparently a camera crew.
